Data
Wishlist data
Wishlist data is held in an insight data collection called wishlist.
Ann Summers have confirmed that each contact will have a single, persistent wishlist data record which will update as changes are made to that contact's wishlist.
Catalog data
Price data will be brought into the campaigns using Liquid markup. Prices will be sourced from the catalog catalog_AnnSummers_CommerceCloud. Products SKUs in the wishlist data will be matched to product SKUs in the catalog data.
Email campaigns
The Implementation Consultant will build two triggered wishlist email campaigns for use in the automation using copy and imagery that Ann Summers will supply. The email campaigns will be saved in a folder named Wishlist, under Automation > Triggered emails.
Product details
To pull through product details into the email, the email campaign will adapt Liquid markup that is currently in use for the abandoned cart campaigns in the Ann Summers account. The markup will:
- Query the account's date
- Using the account's date, define the period of past data to query
- Loop through the products in a contact's wishlist
- Create variables for data that will be pull through into the email campaign, such as:
- Product name
- Product image
Link to Wishlist
The email campaigns will include a link back to the contact's wishlist. This link will be pulled through into campaign via Liquid markup from the contact's wishlist record.
Delivery threshold banner
The email campaigns will also contain a dynamic delivery banner depending on the total value of the wishlist.
Automation
Enrolment into the wishlist program takes precedence over enrolment into the Abandoned Browse program.
Enrolment criteria
Contacts wills be enrolled into the program if they have updated their wishlist in the last day and the total value of their wishlist is greater than £1.Exit criteria
Contacts will be exited from the program if they make an order during the cycle of the wishlist program or if they empty their wishlist during the cycle of the wishlist program. No other exit conditions are required.
Testing
The following scenarios will be tested:
- A product is added to the wishlist
- A product is removed from the wishlist
- Multiple products are added to the wishlist
- Multiple products are removed from the wishlist
- All products are removed from the wishlist
- A product on sale is added to the wishlist
- A contact makes an order after email 1
- A contact makes an order after email 2

- Enrolment criteria
- Exit conditions
- An explanation of the triggered campaigns, including:
- The liquid markup used to pull through product details
Documentation will be provided in a PDF format.
Courtesy period
A 10-working-day support window will begin once the transactional email campaigns are live. During this period:
- Ann Summers will monitor the campaigns and report any issues
- The Implementation Consultant will triage reported issues and determine whether they should be escalated to:
- Dotdigital Support, or
- Ann Summers’ internal development team
At the end of the 10-day period, the Implementation Consultant will formally close the project.
Assumptions
- The work will only be carried out in the Ann Summers account:
- Owner: crm@annsummers.com
- ID: 251882
- The work is not required for the Knickerbox account.
- The delivery threshold for Ann Summers is £50.00 and will not change over the course of the project.
- The Salesforce Commerce Cloud integration will remain active and the catalogue is frequently updated.
- The only currency required is GBP. Additional currencies are not required as part of this project.
- Ann Summers will be available for project sign off and testing
Constraints
- Once the project has been signed off and is live, any requested changes will need to be scoped and will incur additional costs.
- A maximum of two rounds of amends per campaign are included. Additional amends may incur additional costs.
- The solution relies on accurate SKU mapping between wishlist insight data and the product catalogue. If mismatches occur, product details cannot be displayed.
- The solution relies on accurate SKU mapping between wishlist insight data and the product catalogue. If the SKU is empty in the product catalogue or the details cannot be displayed.
- The product catalogue special price is populated either with the full price cost when it's not on sale, or with the sale price cost when the product is on sale. If this structure changes, this will result in incorrect total wishlist calculations.
- Only in-stock items will be included in the wishlist email and displayed in the email. Out of stock items will be excluded.
- A maximum of 6 unique products will be displayed in the wishlist email campaigns.
- If the SFCC integration is removed or fails, the wishlist campaigns will fail to send or content will be incorrect.
- Variables created by Liquid markup cannot be pulled into the subject line of an email campaign, they can only be used in the body of the HTML.
- The "Generate plain text" function will not work if Liquid markup is detected in email campaigns.
- The addition of two new liquid blocks increases the potential for Gmail clipping.
- The walkthrough session will be delivered by Zoom. If Ann Summers is unable to access Zoom, they will need to host the meeting and will be responsible for recording the session.
Things to note
- Anything in addition to or outside of the above will require a rescope and may incur additional costs
Timelines are estimated at point of this document being created. Delays in assets being provided, or increased changes will extend the delivery. Where possible, Dotdigital will always aim to deliver ahead of schedule.
