Project outline

  • This project is to create 10 x preference centres for 3 accounts, which will allow contacts to opt out of communications from a specific brand, or opt out of particular types of communications.

  • Preference centre structure and build

    -    The preference centre will be built with custom HTML code and won’t be editable in the EasyEditor.
    -    The email field will be read only and prepopulated when the contact clicks the link in the email – email address cannot be edited via this form.
    -    “Unsubscribe” section: The unsubscribe option will be a checkbox mapped to a marketing preference. 
    -    The “Change email preferences” section will consist of marketing preference checkboxes that can be opted in or out of. 
    o    The heading of the visual will not be mapped to anything, they will just be a heading for marketing preferences.
    o    For each preferences / brand unsubscribes, this will be a checkbox mapped to a marketing preference 
    o    There will be 4 categories of preferences structured as such (each brand has different preferences)
        Brands opt in 
        Brand 1 marketing preferences 
        Brand 2 marketing preferences 
        Brand 3 marketing preferences 
    -    The structure of the preference centres across the 3 accounts will be the same, however the brands and logos will be different for the third account (Reader’s Digest)
    o    Reader’s Digest will have an AU and NZ brand opt in/out only

Dotdigital build and test the first preference centre and deliver ready for testing

By end of Thursday 15th May UK time, ready for customer to review on Friday 16th

Customer tests and provides any design and functionality amendments

By end of Monday 19th May, ready for Dotdigital to review on Tuesday 20th

Dotdigital apply the amendments and deliver V2

By end of Tuesday 20th May, ready for customer to test on Weds 21st May

Customer signs off first preference centre

By end of Wednesday 21st May (Aus time)

Dotdigital replicates this preference centre and amends logo and marketing preferences to create additional Innovations and Readers Digest preference centres

By end of Thursday 22nd May (UK time)

(page URLs will now be available and can be added to any ramp up emails being built)

Customer tests and signs off, or sends amendments

By end of Friday 23rd May (Aus time)

Dotdigital apply any final amendments to the first 4 preference centres

By end of Friday 23rd May (UK time)

Dotdigital replicate the preference centre to create the remaining 6 preference centres

By end of Weds 28th May (UK time)

Customer tests and signs off, or provides any final amendments

By end of Thurs 29th May (Aus time)

Dotdigital applies any final amendments

By end of Friday 30th May (UK time)
