Summary: 
  • Creation of 1x sign-up form 
  • Creation of 1x preferences page 
  • Creation of 1x SMS opt-out form 
  • Creation of 1x contact update automation for sensitive topics opt-out

Signup form:

  • The signup form will be hosted on https://handt.co.uk/ in the footer.
  • It will replace the existing signup form in place
  • It will capture: 
    • Email
    • Mobile number
    • optin type (hidden)
    • form source (hidden)* optional
    • Marketing preferences 
      • Retail: Jewellery, Watches, Coins
      • Financial Services: Pawnbroking, Travel money, Gold buying, Western union
  • Custom actions
    • Neither email or SMS will be mandatory fields, a contact can supply one or the other - a dialog alert will display if a contact attempts to submit without at least one field being populated 
    • Only preference categories to be displayed on the initial form. If either / both are selected, the preferences will expand and be auto-checked - a contact can de-select each preference
  • Redirect
    • H&T to supply redirect URL for form submit 
Preferences form:
  • The preferences form will be hosted on a Dotdigital page, only accessible to the contact via a 'preferences' link in a Dotdigital campaign 
  • Dotdigital will create a separate (branded) thank you page for form submit - this can either be hosted on H&T, or remain in Dotdigital
  • The form will pre-populate information we already have for a contact
  • The form will capture
    • Email
    • Firstname
    • Birthday
    • Marketing Preferences (same as sign-up form)
    • Mothers day optout 
    • Fathers day optout
    • Christmas optout
    • Valentines optout
  • Custom functionality
    • If a preference parent category is selected, each preference is auto-checked - the contact can uncheck any irrelevant topics 
SMS optout form: 
  • A branded unsubscribe form specifically for SMS 
  • Dotdigital will create a branded confirmation page 
  • If a contact has previously supplied both email and mobile, only the mobile number will be unsubscribed 
  • The form only needs to capture the contact number and the opt-out button
  • H&T to supply page content
Contact sorting automation: 
  • For sensitive topics (Mothers day, Fathers day, Christmas and Valentines day), Dotdigital will create a sorting automation to add/remove contacts from each respective address book - the address book will be used as an exclusion when sending occasion-based comms
Notes: 
  • The account must be switched to Unified Contacts before Dotdigital can begin the work
  • The sign-up form and preferences form will use a combination of JavaScript and HTML for custom functionality
  • Custom CSS will be applied for check-box styling to hide browser default and overlay branded checkboxes
  • It is H&T responsibility embed the signup form code on the website - this should be added to a staging store first so functionality and UX can be tested 
  • If the preferences form / SMS optout form confirmation pages need to be hosted on the website, Dotdigital will supply the embed code and it is H&T responsibility to implement this - H&T will need to supply the hosted URLs

Custom check-box styling and select functionality  If yes, please supply the program ID – this can be found in the URL in the program builder. It doesn’t not need to be activated and can just be a placeholder program 
Hidden preferences to only show and pre-check when either category is selected, or if ‘both’ is selected – the page will expand to show each individual preference  Supply any brand colours, fonts and logo’s – alternatively we can take this from the website (applicable for all forms) 
Internal QA  Please also create the marketing preferences in the account – one for ‘both’ does not need to be created – (this is also applicable for the preferences form)
External testing  
Provide H&T with the embed code snippet  
H&T web team will need to add this to the website  
If there is a staging site this can be applied to in the first instance, this would be ideal   
*note that Dotdigital cannot support with adding this to websites  
Preference Centre Using the design supplied, Dotdigital will Please confirm/provide 14 credits
Create a preferences form using Dotdigital sign-up form code  The friendly part of the URL for the form e.g., mysubdomain.co.uk/manage-preferences
For the 4x sensitive topics, we will need to set these temporarily to public data fields to generate the code – we will revert them to private within ~10 minutes The redirect confirm page 
Add the generated code to a Dotdigital page   
Apply styling and customisations  
Custom checkboxes Create a standalone confirmation page in Dotdigital – we can also provide embed code for the confirmation page if this needs to be hosted on the website on a non-indexed page 
Auto-select all preferences if parent category selected  Please supply content if Dotdigital need to build
Pre-populate with existing data and preferences  Please create 4x Yes/no data fields for each of the sensitive opt-outs, or we can create these
I would suggest we make email address non-editable – please confirm  
Internal QA  
External testing  
Once signed-off, we will submit the form in account settings to make this the default preferences form   
This then gets approved by our Deliverability team, and they will send the account owner a notification to confirm it is approved

    The work described hereunder must be redeemed within 12 months from purchase, on a date and time to be agreed with dotdigital. Unless due to the availability of Engagement Cloud, any failure to instruct dotdigital to commence or agree the work described (in whole or in part) will result in forfeiture of the entirety of the fee and no credits or refunds, pro rata or otherwise, will be provided.
