Country drop-down:
204 countries to display in the Country drop-down menu – these have been taken from the current sign-up form on the website and should be in the same order on the preference centre.
The country list has been extracted and saved internally (Dotdigital).
The account in scope is: visitwales.stats@gmail.com
Implementation Consultancy (IC)
IC will take ownership of the technical adjustments required for the project once the static build has been completed and signed-off.
IC will manage
- Adding translations (CY and DE) on the
- Preference centre
- Unsubscribe confirmation page
- Unsubscribe survey
- Creation of the custom URL required to ensure the correct language is displayed for the user
- Testing the process end-to-end
- Setting of the custom preference centre and opt-out in account settings, and deliverability approval process
Client deliverables
The client will need to maintain a singular data field which tells us which language the forms should be displayed in; else English will be the version the user sees.
Content and any hyperlinks will need to be provided for:
- Preference centre and embedded unsubscribe
- Unsubscribe confirmation page
- Opt-out reason survey
Content required
- Page titles
- Any copy to explain why you’re asking for preferences
- Question fields e.g., please select your Country
- Any header / footer content
Confirm any fields to be marked as mandatory on the form.
Considerations
If we do not have a country marker for a contact
The language shown would be EN in these cases
Custom unsubscribes
Unsubscribe reporting will be lost at campaign-level reporting once deliverability has approved the new preference centre and unsubscribe form. Unsubscribes can be viewed at account level, but you will not be able to attribute the opt-outs to a campaign.
You can view unsubscribes through analytics in your account under the ‘delivery’ chart, and you can filter this report by a specified date range.
Editing the form
Due to the customisation required for language changes, the form would not be editable moving forward. Any changes would have to be requested either through CS or IC, depending on the required update. This should be raised through your Customer Success Manager, who will co-ordinate with the relevant team(s).
Regional drop-down
This element requires extensive testing and may not be supported on all browsers / devices. Dotdigital will present findings / functionality once we have built the solution and testing.
Notes
- IC will not begin any work until the Creative Studio preference centre has been signed-off
- This is for a single account only - any additional accounts will require additional scope + cost
